Consumer Friendly Installation
The Generation F platform is designed to be installable by the consumer. No larger than a deck of cards, the consumer can plug and unplug the Generation F device into the ALDL connector underneath the instrument panel. The Generation D platform is compatible with all currently deployed CAN bus variations, so configuration is automatic.
