I upgraded my HAast version today, and the event log shows that I am now running the free edition.  The “License Status” command issued on the CLI reports “Incompatible license file detected“.

    What is wrong?

The “incompatible license file detected” error means that the license version in the license file does not match the license version expected by HAast.

This is usually the result of applying an update to HAast, but not updating the license file.  Telium uses a 3rd party license library, and once every 1-2 years they update the license file format (to add features, update security, etc.).  This isn’t a problem, it just means that we have to create a new license file for you.

Please generate new license request files from the HAast CLI on both nodes, and send those files to Telium’s support group.  We’ll generate new license files for you and send them to you shortly thereafter.  Please note, we can only generate new license files for you if you have an active maintenance agreement (otherwise the license portal we use will refuse to generate the licenses).
